2013 - Balmoral Burn Wrap Up
Support for Humpty Shines Despite the Rain
An estimated 5,500 Sydneysiders put on their running shoes and got out their umbrellas for the annual Humpty Dumpty Balmoral Burn on Sunday 2 June - the wettest race day in its 13 year history - with a figure of over two million raised over the weekend to buy life-saving medical equipment for children's hospitals and health services across Australia.
The fundraising commenced on Friday 31 May at the invite only Sponsors' Dinner on Balmoral Beach through to Race Day on Sunday.
Despite the torrential rain the unstoppable spirit of the community shone through - it was an incredible result to see thousands of people brave the wind and rain to support Humpty and its cause.
Ensuring sick kids have a fighting chance by finding the best medical equipment and care available.
